Viral Video: A dinghy operator nearly escapes death from a ship in Southampton

A dinghy operator escaped his fatal fate when a containership nearly ran over him near England’s Port of Southampton on Sunday.

As per the reports, the man was among the three people with their dinghies when they faced the massive containership. The other two safely displaced from its way, but one of them could not as his dinghy suffered a sudden engine failure.
The 400-meter-long Al Zubara intimidated the man so much that at the last minute, he finally had to jump in the water to save himself.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt in this incident. The operator managed to escape and eventually got rescued by a patrol boat at the port of Southampton.

This incident was captured in a video by Harvey Brett-Hill, where the operator was seen diving into the water. Al Zubara was seen leaving Southampton to continue its journey to France.

The Hillhead Coastguard unit alerts everyone after this incident and advises people to be extra cautious while going into the waters during heavy shipping traffic.
