Panama says three ships hit by Russian missiles since start of Ukraine invasion

Missile strikes Bangladeshi bulker in Ukraine, killing crewman onboard

Panama’s Maritime Authority reports three Panamanian-flagged vessels being hit in the black sea by Russian missiles since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. They are Namura Queen, Lord Nelson and Helt.
One of them sank, and the other two remain afloat with damages. However, no casualties have been reported.

Noriel Arauz, the administrator of the Panama Maritime Authority, stated, “We know that we had three ships that were attacked by Russian missiles, but the crew is all safe; we had material damage.”

Specific dates of all the incidences haven’t been disclosed yet.

The Russian navy restricts ships from leaving the black sea area, and Arauz has reported at least 10 other flag-bearing ships stuck in that area.
