Seafarers couldn’t step out of ship, band did live concert on a boat for them.

One week after “The day of seafarers” the situation of seafarers worldwide did not change significantly. Even though seafarers in Hamburg are now allowed to visit the Seamen’s Club Duckdalben again and Germany is a pioneer in terms of crew changes, there is -nevertheless – the impression that greater international efforts are still needed to grant seafarers a special status in such a crisis.

The problems surrounding crew changes must finally be solved and a longer-term solutions must be found so that seafarers never again have to spend months on board with a lot of uncertainty about their contract.

Corona Port Concerts decided to entertain the seafarers who might not have stepped out of the ship for months, they organised a live rock band concert on a boat at the port of Hamburg, and it was terrific.

After the great success of the last Port Concerts, Organisers  have planned a second edition of the #coronaportconcerts for seafarers on 5th July starting at 6 p.m. Music comes froma great band from Hamburg.
