Video: Passenger Ferry Capsizes in Bali After Running Aground

Passenger ro-ro ferry DHARMA RUCITRA 3 carrying 33 vehicles and 65 passengers capsized in Bali after running aground trying to dock in a harbour.

The ferry developed a heavy starboard list, and capsized, while docking at Padang Bai port, Eastern Bali, at around 2200 LT (UTC +7) on June 12. The ferry arrived from Lembar, Lombok island.

Fortunately, the 65 passengers and crew members abandoned the vessel just in time and all were reported safe.

The heavy List was caused due to shifting of vehicles as per some of the passengers.
