Philippines: DFA Charters Flight for 181 Filipinos from Indonesia

PASAY CITY 10 June 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) added another 181 Overseas Filipinos from Indonesia to the increasing number of repatriated Filipino nationals since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Cebu Pacific flight that brought the repatriates home landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at around 4:00 p.m.

The 181 Filipino repatriates underwent the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health. They would also be required to undergo quarantine procedures in accordance with the omnibus guidelines established by the Interagency Task Force.

The whole-of-nation approach to repatriation involves the DFA coordinating with the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), DOH and the DILG.
