Anglo-Eastern scores remarkable success with crew changes worldwide

Despite the difficulties in conducting crew changes due to travel restrictions worldwide to curb the spread of deadly Coronavirus, Anglo-Eastern Ship Management has scored considerable success all around the globe.

Anglo-Eastern ship management has managed to arrange the crew changes of 1,584 seafarers (all nationalities) across 167 vessels worldwide since the March 23 lockdown in India, and 11 completed/pending chartered flights for over 330 Indian seafarers in the month of June.



The Hong Kong-headquartered ship manager claims that in the last two weeks alone (May 25 – June 9 inclusive), the company have performed 938 crew movements (471 joiners and 467 off-signers of all nationalities) for 85 vessels worldwide, taking part in 5 chartered flights for 138 Indian seafarers, with 6 more planned this month for another 200.

Anglo-Eastern shared an update on its official Facebook page, the post reads:

“We have been working hard to effect crew changes, from collaborating with government bodies and owners, participating in numerous chartered flights, and relieving crew whenever and wherever possible and permissible. The results speak for themselves.

In the last two weeks alone (May 25 – June 9 inclusive), we are thrilled to have performed 938 crew movements (471 joiners and 467 off-signers of all nationalities) for 85 vessels worldwide, taking part in 5 chartered flights for 138 Indian seafarers, with 6 more planned this month for another 200.

Altogether, that’s 1,584 crew movements (all nationalities) across 167 vessels worldwide since the March 23 lockdown in India, and 11 completed/pending chartered flights for over 330 Indian seafarers in the month of June.

Furthermore, Hong Kong recently gave the green light for unrestricted crew changes, thanks in large part to the efforts of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association (HKSOA), which is chaired by Anglo-Eastern CEO Bjorn Hojgaard.
