VIDEO: Explosion Jolts Chemical Tanker on China’s Yangtze River

An explosion took place on a Chemical Tanker, Qiu Feng 6, a Chinese-flagged vessel, on May 20 and injured two crew members of the ship.

A video of the incident has surfaced online, indicating that the crew was possibly washing the tanks when the said explosion took place.

The fire was successfully put out and Chinese authorities have started the investigation.

In a desperate attempt to save their lives, three crew members jumped into the water, who were later saved by the rescue teams. The two injured crew members were immediately rushed to the hospital, while the other four crew members remained unharmed.

The said vessel is owned by Yangzhou Yuhua Shipping.
